The awards TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice 2023 have revealed the best hotels in South America, recognized for their excellence in accommodations and world-class services.

These establishments stand out for offering luxury experiences, comfort and exceptional hospitality in the region.

Travelers have praised the quality and comfort of these hotels, highlighting the attention to detail and the to detail, the impressive facilities and the warmth of the staff..

"All winners passed our rigorous trust and safety standards. Less than 1 percent of Tripadvisor's 8 million profiles receive the Best of the Best award, which means they have the highest level of hospitality excellence," TripAdvisor says.

1. Hotel Colline de France

Travelers recommend this hotel as a "superb" choice for visiting Gramado, a mountain resort in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, in the far south of Brazil.

"Simply a spectacular hotel, first class service, unparalleled food, an experience that I recommend, a particular mention for Lucas who took the service to another level", says a visitor about this hotel.

2. Hotel Valle D'Incanto

In second place is the Valle D'Incanto Hotel, also located in Gramado, Brazil. According to travelers, this is a recommended lodging for romantic plans. 

"Very close to excellence. The hotel is very nice, but what stands out is the attention at every moment. The breakfast is spectacular, with an incredible variety and flavors. The kindness of the chef, and the kitchen team", highlighted the travelers.

3. Hotel Ritta Höppner

The list is led by three hotels located in Brazil and Gramado. In third place is the Hotel Ritta Höppner, recommended, according to the opinions of travelers, as an "excellent" choice to "rest". 

"Known for its upscale ambiance and proximity to fantastic restaurants and attractions, Hotel Ritta Höppner helps you enjoy the best of Gramado. Hotel Ritta Höppner offers a variety of in-room amenities, such as flat-screen TVs, minibars and air conditioning, and you can stay connected, as free Wi-Fi is available," the TripAdvisor review notes.

4. Summerville Resort - All Inclusive

It is a tourist complex located in Porto de Galinhas, a town and beach in the municipality of Ipojuca in the state of Pernambuco, Brazil. It is catalogued as an ideal place for family vacations. 

"We spent only a few days at the hotel, but they were unforgettable. Everything was excellent: the attention and friendliness of the staff from the moment you enter the hotel. The quality of the food and beverages, the cleanliness of all the facilities, the comfort and spaciousness of our bungalows," the visitors say.

5- Estelar Paipa Hotel & Convention Center

In fifth place is the Estelar Paipa Hotel & Convention Center, located 2.6 kilometers from the Cathedral of Paipa, the sixth most populated municipality in Boyacá.

Visitors to this hotel recommend this lodge for its facilities, the service of the staff, as well as the different outdoor activities offered by the hotel.

"The facilities are excellent, the service of all the staff is always very cordial, the breakfasts are really varied and delicious. We did different activities with the family (horseback riding, water bikes, cruises, etc.) and everything was very organized and safe. We did not have any inconvenience. Place 100 % recommended", say the travelers.

6. Best Western Premier Maceio

Looking for a destination with beach and seaside activities? TripAdvisor users recommended the Best Western Premier, located in Maceio, Brazil, as the sixth best in South America. 

"Excellent service, very friendly and attentive staff. I spent my birthday and they brought me a cake to my room, very attentive. Breakfast had a good variety. The beds are extra large and comfortable. The pressure of the showers and bathrooms in very good condition. I really recommend it", the travelers say.

7. Salinas Maragogi All Inclusive Resort

The city of Maragogi is located in the northeastern part of Brazil, so thanks to its proximity to the equator it has a climate that averages 25 degrees Celsius per year.

There is Salinas Maragogi All Inclusive Resort, the seventh best hotel in South America. It stands out for its pools, food and infrastructure. 

8. Aloft Lima Miraflores

This hotel is located in Lima, capital of Peru, and is recognized for its infrastructure, ideal for spending time with family and friends. It is also recommended for its drinks and gastronomy. 

"We had an extraordinary experience with the whole family. We enjoyed every moment. The kids were surprised as soon as we got to the room with the camping set up, then the heated swimming pool, the delicious buffet breakfast, etc. Thanks to Michel for his great attention and kindness to the whole family. We will definitely come back", say the travelers. 

9. 93 Luxury Suites & Residences

In ninth place is 93 Luxury Suites & Residences, a hotel located near Parque de la 93, in the north of Bogota. 

TripAdvisor users highlight the technology in this hotel's rooms, as well as the food and bar service. 

"The experience was spectacular. I went with my wife and 3 small children and we stayed 3 weeks. First class service, delicious breakfast, luxury rooms, cleanliness every day. The staff very friendly and the location is spectacular", is described in the comments.

10. Hyatt Centric San Isidro Lima

And in last place, of the top 10 hotels in South America, is the Hyatt Centric San Isidro, also located in Lima. 

"Excellent location, facilities and attention from all the staff. It is a very pleasant environment that makes the experience very good for those who go on business. It is ideal for this type of travel, as it has everything you need," reads the comments.
